Discover Turkey Greece & Sicily
Exceptional expert led cultural tours and gulet cruises in Turkey, Greece, and Sicily
We design inspirational trips of a lifetime: stimulating and luxurious tours, educational and relaxing cruises. Our carefully crafted journeys in Turkey, Greece, and Sicily will take you to some of the world’s best preserved ancient sites, from Greek and Roman times and beyond.
Take a gulet cruise along Turkey’s turquoise coast, through the Greek Islands, or along the Sicilian shore, and enjoy total relaxation, beautiful food, and superb swimming - the perfect vacation. Or explore some of the finest archaeological sites in the world on land, retracing the route of Alexander the Great.
A team of the finest tour guides, archaeologists and historians, lead our historical holidays and sailing vacations, vividly bringing the past to life. Friendly and knowledgeable, they are natural enthusiasts steeped in the history and culture of Turkey, Greece, and Sicily.
Why we organise archaeological and cultural tours...
In 1994, Peter Sommer walked 2,000 miles across Turkey, following in the footsteps of Alexander the Great, and in the process fell in love with the country, its ancient civilizations, and the Turkish people. For the past 14 years, Peter, a British archaeologist and documentary maker, has been leading and organising unique historical and cultural tours and gulet cruises, escorted by the finest experts.
A UK-based specialist tour operator, we provide cultural vacations and holidays - primarily gulet cruises - with a professional and above all personal touch. On our escorted tours, we take only small groups (max 16 on land, 14 by sea) of like-minded people, travelling in an easy-going, informal style.
"This was one of the best vacations of my life. It was the perfect mix of sybaritic swims and mindblowing archaeology, awe-inspiring walks and meals featuring the freshest fruits and vegetables that Turkey, this beautiful country, has to offer. And the travellers you’ll meet on the gulet are a special breed - curious, intelligent, and adventurous. Just the sort of people you want to spend 2 weeks with! We loved the trip, absolutely loved it!” International best selling novelist Tess Gerritsen, Maine, USA
